Hello, we are Evan and Endre! We, along with our wonderful toddler, are a laid-back family who cherish spending time together. We live in the heart of a historic city on the coast, alongside a beautiful tidal creek perfect for kayaking and fishing. We have a strong community of friends and family, both in-town and around the country and treasure our relationships.
We love children and are very excited to grow our family. We can’t wait to nurture another child and foster every academic and creative interest they may develop. We’ve considered adoption for years, but we wanted to make sure we were financially stable, through with school, and owned our home first. Now, we’re looking forward to finally bringing another child into our hearts and home to share in the love, laughter, and warmth we experience every day.
The home we live in sits along a beautiful tidal creek and has lots of charm and character. Our favorite part of the house is the sunroom, where we play with toys, read books, and do fun activities. We have a sunny bedroom and bathroom set aside for a second child. We also love our fenced-in backyard, where we can grill, hang out around the firepit on a starlit night, play catch with our dog, and tend to our vegetable garden.
Our community is well established, and our neighbors are down-to-earth and friendly. Just a bike ride away is our community swimming pool, and only a few minutes away is an entrance to a several-mile-long greenway for walking and biking that stretches out to a county park. We are also very close to fantastic beaches, rivers, and parks, and we spend every week making the most of it. We look forward to the opportunity for our children to grow up, play, and explore here.
Both of us were raised in big, close-knit families, surrounded by cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends. Growing up, our brothers and cousins were our best friends; we did everything together! Even today, everyone still gets together for events and holidays. However, now the gatherings are even bigger with the new generation of cousins!
Endre is kind, smart, and charismatic. He is steadfast and loyal, but has a goofy side that loves to make us all laugh. He is supportive of his friends and family, always willing to drop everything and help with anything no matter how big or small. He also makes new friends very easily, always finding groups that share his interests and hobbies, be it playing live music, sports, or trying new foods.
Growing up by Lake Erie, Endre is an avid outdoorsman and adventure seeker. He loves hiking with our dog, camping, fishing, golfing, and sports that involve his friends. He spent his childhood in the boy scouts with his brothers and cousins, and he is the most patient and dedicated teacher when it comes to camping and exploring. He adores being around kids as much as kids adore him, and I know he’s excited to share everything he knows about the outdoors with his own little ones!
Evan is one of the smartest and most determined people I know. She always gives everything she has to accomplish her goals; from becoming a registered nurse, serving in the Peace Corps, achieving her graduate degree, and recently completing a fellowship in ethics. Above all she pours everything of herself into being a mom! Evan is also deeply caring. She’s always thinking about others. Giving gifts, small or large, is one of her favorite ways of showing people she cares for them.
Evan has a very natural and easy-going personality and a great sense of humor. She loves music, reading, gardening, seeing new places, and trying new foods. Our nieces and nephew love spending time with her, joking, playing games, and just talking about what is happening in their lives. Watching the care and love she pours into our daughter, nieces and nephew, our pets, and her garden, brings me excitement and confidence in building our family together! She is an amazing mother.
We met in college in 2008 and have been together ever since. In 2010, Evan left for the Peace Corps in Honduras and was away for two years. It was hard being apart, but we knew we wanted to stay together, and in the end, it made our relationship stronger. When Endre visited Evan, he became part of her experience, and to this day, her host family considers both family. Our first date was on the 7th of November, and while we do celebrate our wedding anniversary, we also find small ways to celebrate on the 7th of every month, even after all these years. We share so many dreams and interests, and genuinely value and admire each other.
Find joy in the smallest moments, and positivity in challenges.
We are happy to stay in contact with the birth parents so they can see their child grow. It is important to us that a birth mother feels confident in her choice and we want to support her decision on open adoption.
