All About Anthony & Tessa

We have been married for 3 years and together for 11 years. Throughout our relationship, we have built a strong foundation of love, respect, and stability. We both come from supportive families and are fortunate to have a network of friends who are eager to welcome a new addition to our family. We have a comfortable home in the country with our 4 dogs and 4 cats. In our spare time we enjoy concerts, comedy shows, traveling, but most of all just spending time at home with our animals.

Why Adoption?

We have dreamed of becoming parents for years, and while our journey has had its challenges, we always held onto the hope that one day we would have the opportunity to welcome a child into our loving home. We were deciding between IVF and adoption and we started reading about adoption stories and thought it seemed like such a beautiful future for us.

Family & Home

We built a home on Anthony’s grandmother's land about three years ago. We have a three bedroom, three bathroom, three-story home. Our home sits on about 5 acres of land on a dead end road in the country. Our neighbors are few and far between but are all very friendly. We both come from supportive families and are fortunate to have a network of friends who are eager to welcome a new addition to our family.

How others describe me

Anthony grew up in the suburbs of eastern Ohio. He has been working in the steel industry for 10 years. Coming from a small town and a blue collar family, Anthony holds nothing closer to his heart than his family and loved ones. Anthony enjoys sports and outdoor activities and he’d love to share his knowledge and experience with his future children to create lasting memories like he had as a child. He is the hardest working man I know besides my father & he is loved by everyone he meets.

Tessa is from a small town in Northwestern Pennsylvania. She is the youngest of 7 and with that comes many nieces and nephews. She is a manager at a Crisis Stabilization Unit that provides care for clients with mental health & substance use disorders. Tessa’s passions include gardening, animals, & spending time with family. She has such a nurturing nature to her and has the biggest heart.

how we met

How We Met

We met at Kent State University in 2013 where we both attended college. We went on one date and were inseparable after that. Tessa saw Anthony by the pool and later found him on social media, where he reached out to her and asked her on a date.  We quickly got a dog together and spent most of our days at the dog park or taking evening hikes with our pup.

Advice to Future Child

Be Kind: Kindness goes a long way. Treat others with respect and empathy, and you’ll make the world a better place.

Stay Curious: Never stop learning. Ask questions, explore new ideas, and embrace the joy of discovery.

Follow Your Passion: Pursue what you love, whether it’s a hobby, career, or any interest. Passion fuels happiness and fulfillment.

Embrace Failure: Don’t fear mistakes. They are valuable learning opportunities. What matters is how you respond and grow from them.

Value Relationships: Build and nurture strong relationships with family and friends. Support and love are essential for a fulfilling life.

Perspectives on Open Adoption

We are committed to creating an open honest relationship with birth parents, should they choose us as adoptive parents. We believe that a child should grow up knowing their story and the love that surrounds them from all sides.
